About Me

I’m a Certified Professional Coach who’s passionate about helping others become the most empowered version of themselves. I aim to support you through your own journey, provide guidance and focus, and hold space for your growth as you progress.

I currently live in the Zurich area with my husband. I’m originally from Quebec, Canada, and I moved to Calgary, Canada, on my own when I was just 18 years old. I made Calgary my home for over 21 years, where I worked in the oil and gas industry for 12 years. I had the opportunity to work on many interesting projects during that time, but the one project that stands out the most for me is building a training program for over 300 employees. I gained a great deal of valuable skills, and I even got involved in delivering some of the training myself. Public speaking was always one of my biggest fears growing up and during my twenties, but it soon became a thing of the past.

I decided to jump right in and face one of my fears. After only a few months, it felt like a huge accomplishment, which I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Overcoming my fear of public speaking opened so many doors and it gave me a huge boost of confidence.

Back in high school, I was always the student who waited and hoped to be picked last to do presentations. Funny how things can change! I remember thinking, wow, I could have been doing this all along if I had just pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone sooner.

But I decided to stop dwelling on the past, and instead I started focusing on the present. It was through facing a big fear of mine and focusing on my personal development that I was able to take a huge step forward.

In 2016, I made a bold career move. I was ready to do something completely different. Something I had always wanted to do since I was a kid. So I started working as a Flight Attendant for an airline called WestJet. I absolutely loved it! Everything from interacting with new people, to being able to board a plane every single week. It was a dream job. I love flying, and you can imagine all the public speaking I did. I was feeling more and more confident.

In 2018, I reconnected with my now-husband. We went to boarding school together in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Canada, when we were just 16 years old, and we met again after 22 years. It was love at first sight! My husband is from Switzerland, and we knew that our long-distance relationship could only work for so long. One of us had to relocate. So, I made the big move to Switzerland in June 2019. It was exciting, but also a little scary. It was very difficult to leave family and friends, a job I loved, and my culture behind – basically, I said goodbye to the world I knew for 38 years.

It was without a doubt challenging at times, but it truly has been an incredible experience. Amazing things can happen when you least expect them to!

I love to travel, work out and hike, and going on bike rides with my husband is my new favourite hobby. I got into it shortly after moving to Switzerland, and we go for rides every chance we get. Starting a life in a new country was far from easy, but it has given me the most valuable experience. Read more about my story here.

Why I Decided To Pursue Coaching

Back in 2013 when I was working in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, I joined a mentoring program for the first time. It was an internal initiative being offered to all employees at the company I was working at, and to be quite honest, I wasn’t entirely sold on the idea. But I decided to give it a shot and I signed up, just as a mentee at the beginning. My first mentor was so knowledgeable and passionate about mentoring. It was a great match, and the entire process truly exceeded my expectations. I developed a whole new set of skills, both personally and professionally. The following year, I decided to join the program again, but this time as a mentor and mentee. Being part of this program was extremely rewarding.

A couple of years after I moved to Switzerland, I realized the importance of mentoring and coaching on a more personal level. When I first moved to Switzerland, I felt isolated, overwhelmed, and, quite frankly, completely lost.

It struck me that my experience could have been a lot more positive if I had only connected with someone who had once been in the same situation as me - someone with coaching experience.

Not to tell me what to do or to give me step by step instructions, but to guide me and help me grow in a completely new environment. I knew I had to do something and find my own way to help others.

One lesson I have learned is that disappointments and struggles are not always so bad. What you learn from them and what you do next is what matters the most. I also started to really focus on the things I want instead of the things I don’t want. Positive goals are so much more motivating!

As a result, PB Transition Coaching was born.
